Tarot Decks

This page lists what decks I'm currently using for giving readings.  I generally select the deck I use for a client's reading based on their question or the type of reading they are getting and the client's energy.  You are welcome though to request that I use the deck of your choice for your reading if you are drawn to one.

Below are brief descriptions of the decks, many with links to full length reviews that I've written of them with videos.  While I may say that I feel certain decks work best for certain topics and spreads if you feel drawn to one of these decks just let me know.  Trust your gut if it's telling you to go with a certain deck, even if it doesn't match with what I may usually suggest.

Thelema Tarot

The Thelema Tarot follows the Rider-Waite-Smith system, but the artwork is much richer.  This deck also makes the elemental associations of the minor arcana suits much more prominent.  I use this deck for all kinds of readings, this is really my "go to" or "home" deck and is really suitable for all audiences.  I do highly recommend this deck for my Three Card Mediumship Tarot Reading because the court cards in this deck work so well for it.  If you'd like to learn more about this deck you can check out my Thelema Tarot Review.

Mystic Dreamer Tarot

This deck also follows the Rider-Waite-Smith system, but it's a more modern version with some new symbolism.  Two themes that you'll find throughout this deck are the moon and ravens and this deck does have the dreamy quality the creator was aiming for.  You can ask anything of this deck but I find it particularly good for tapping into the subconscious and I find it also works surprisingly well for readings regarding romance.  For more on this deck you can check out my The Mystic Dreamer Tarot Review.

Ghosts & Spirits Tarot

This is a tarot deck with 78 cards broken into the major and minor arcana and the minor arcana broken into the traditional four suits, but it varies greatly from the Rider-Waite-Smith system.  Some consider this a "darker" deck but I do not.  This deck is good when you are looking to connect with spirits, ancestors, or spirit guides during your reading.  This can be done with any reading but I find this deck works better than others for my Shadow Work Spread and my Spirit Communication Spread.  For more on this deck you can check out my The Ghosts & Spirits Tarot Review.

The Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg

Another deck that follows the Rider-Waite-Smith system, this one does so with the feel of Russian folk art.  This is a very strong deck that doesn't pull any punches.  If you can handle uncompromising truth this is a good deck for you.  This deck will NOT coddle you, it gives it to you raw and is not for the meek.  This deck can read for any topic but is good for shadow work if you're ready to pull off the band-aides.  You can see this deck in my video Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg Flip Through.

Halloween Oracle

I offer oracle readings with this deck during the month of October.  It is designed to be used during the energy of fall when it is believed that the veil has thinned and divination is made easier.  This deck is used for shorter readings but they are no less powerful in offering you guidance.  If it's Halloween all year round for you then you can request this during the other months of the year even when it's not listed on my services page.  You can see this deck in my video The Halloween Oracle.
